When I first heard one of our NY boys Bibhu Mohapatra was heading to Lakme Fashion Week in India, I was worried his understated luxury would be lost in the land of color and embellishments. But his reputation overseas as one of the hottest upcoming designers in the fashion world sealed his place at the front of the pack. Talent all over the country - a country that has numerous fashion weeks- come to show at Lakme. It's a competition to differentiate, something Bibhu has already done so with his brand. And while he stayed true to his Fall collection, Bibhu's additions of rich colors and harem pants didn't go unnoticed.
