BBA Haute for 2012: Naeem Khan

Naeem Khan delivers his usual to-die-for red carpet looks. The South Asian elements are beautifully integrated in elegant looks for all ages. I love the softer, pastel pinks and creams alongside the bright french rose shade of pink. And the combination of rustic bronze is just... stunning. 

BBA Haute for 2012: McQueen

Alexander McQueen's Resort 2012 was refreshingly darker than what I'm used to. I love the use of  embellishments, especially on the belts and pockets. The khaki and white combination is made feminine with beautiful cuts and fitting silhouettes. It's definitely a collection inspired by royalty, african safaris and India's art for embroidery.

BBA Flashback Friday: Yasmeen Ghauri

I have so many people (mostly yesteryear Bollywood stars) I would like to feature for Flashback Fridays but this week the Yasmeen Ghauri fan club on Facebook posted a bunch of amazing pics of the South Asian Canadian supermodel who took over the fashion world in the early 90s. I'm such a big fan that I figured perhaps I should dedicate this week to the woman who made Brown fabulous for fashion houses like Versace and Hermes. So... last night at the London premiere of Mission Impossible 4 the super hot MILF Paula Patton rocked Naeem Khan on the red carpet. Yay!

Sadly Anil Kapoor was nowhere to be seen (at least not in the pictures we saw online), so we're posting some other premieres that he attended. Why, you ask? Because, even though Paula is hot, our Ram Lakhan is hotter!

Hot on the heels of Chanel's Paris-Bombay collection, comes another big annoucement this morning. Louboutin is going Indian too! This is too much excitement for one girl to handle :)

Christian Louboutin is setting up shop in India. The brand plans to open its first India boutique in early 2012, inside New Delhi’s gilded DLF Emporio luxury mall. Louboutin teamed up with longtime collaborator Eric Clough of New York-based design firm 212 Box to conceptualize the 700-sq.-ft. retail space, which will carry both men’s and women’s footwear and handbags. ~WWD

We think this is great news but we've also been Christian Louboutin fans for quite some time! Take a look at Christian Louboutin’s Bollywood-inspired styles for spring '12.
