Diamonds Are Forever

I adore wearing gems, but not because they are mine. You can't possess radiance, you can only admire it. ~Elizabeth Taylor

I hope one day I'll be lucky enough to wear the Taj Mahal diamond but in the meantime I have to make do seeing it in a case at Christie's! If you are in NYC, I recommend you see the Collection. It is a fitting tribute for a Queen. A self-made one... who lives on... because fabulous never dies. [Special thanks to Gauri].

Taylor's love for exotic and eastern fashion is on display
Diamonds are best worn... everywhere.
Her turbans and head wraps are featured alongside her designer labels and jewels.

India get ready to go RED!

Hot on the heels of Chanel's Paris-Bombay collection, comes another big annoucement this morning. Louboutin is going Indian too! This is too much excitement for one girl to handle :)

Christian Louboutin is setting up shop in India. The brand plans to open its first India boutique in early 2012, inside New Delhi’s gilded DLF Emporio luxury mall. Louboutin teamed up with longtime collaborator Eric Clough of New York-based design firm 212 Box to conceptualize the 700-sq.-ft. retail space, which will carry both men’s and women’s footwear and handbags. ~WWD

We think this is great news but we've also been Christian Louboutin fans for quite some time! Take a look at Christian Louboutin’s Bollywood-inspired styles for spring '12.

But that's not all we have to show you. If you aren't a Red Bottom gal, you will be soon!

Christian Louboutin's bright colors and unique designs compliments Indian fashion and adds a touch of luxury.

A while back we reported on the trend among Indian weddings: Christian Louboutins. As red is the color of Indian brides, it seems to be a perfect fit!

Not ready to pay $US1000+ for shoes? Check out Haute Trotter and fill in your style profile. We'll hunt down sale Red Bottoms for you!

For those of you who follow my fashion company Haute Trotter, you'll notice a pair of Red Bottoms all over the internet. This is a pair I picked up on sale in Las Vegas and I keep them on display in my bedroom. LOL! The gold detail and patterns are very Indian but it has enough sass to be worn anywhere and with anything! xo

So I've upgraded to the BBA blog for selected editorials and catalogs. We won't stop bringing you what's hot no matter where it is. Here's Lakshmi for White House Black Market's Holiday Catalog. Stay chic this Christmas my fellow Brown babes!

"Paris-Bombay" Chanel Metiers d'Arts Collection - Part 2

Hours ago, the fashion community saw one of it's iconic brands dedicate it's new collection to India. Karl Lagerfeld, the man with the vision and talent to bring Chanel into the 21st Century, took it back into time to create a royal feast that included Indian sweets and masala chai. Lagerfeld is known for his elaborate productions and this show was no different. The show also features a large number of South Asian fashion models.

Karl Lagerfeld has used India as an inspiration in his past collections. And, in fact, we saw a similar turban in his Chanel Resort 2012 Collection (Left).
