BBA Celeb Wrap Up

It wasn't my intention to feature Sonam in three different looks this week but it was hard to escape. She is definitely taking her role as Indian's new fashion icon pretty seriously. While I would love to see more of her personal style, her natural beauty is so radiant that it shines through her perfectly styled outfits. I don't have a favorite this week but I'm loving the Ferragamo blue suit.. stunning! Special mention: Jessie J in Falguni & Shane Peacock. Love the risky see-through look and black nails!

Deepika Padukone in Salvatore Ferragamo, Freida Pinto in Marni for H&M, Sonam Kapoor in Burberry, D&G, and Salvatore Ferragamo.

Etro Fall 2012 Milan Fashion Week

The indian style motifs, beautiful burgundy, and figure-hugging cuts has me going just a little crazy for Etro.

Lakshmi Menon, Elle and Eggplants!

Lakshmi Menon graces Elle Italy's cover for March 2012 and you can rest assured when I find the rest of the pics, I'll post them. In the meantime, what do you think of Dolce & Gabbana's eggplant inspired fashion?

BBA Pics: Paris-India-Paris pt 3

I'm always looking for inspiration (especially on the tumblr) and when I find something that I feel has been inspired or utilizes Indian fashion, I blog it. Two great examples below.

London Fashion Week is in full swing and front row of Burbery's Fall 2012 show is Sonam Kapoor and Amir Khan (boxer) alongside Will.I.Am, Alexa Chung and others. Manish Malhotra also attended but unfortunately there aren't any pics of him online yet. We LOVE the yellow nails!

BBA Flashback Friday: Bob Mackie Fall 2001

Bob Mackie is an American fashion designer who is known for his entertainment clients like Cher and Tina Turner. Clearly inspired by India's embroidery and beading techniques, this 2001 collection at New York Fashion Week paid homage to the motherland.

BBA Picks: Naeem Khan Fall 2012

Naeem Khan did it again but this time he went there. In what seemed like divine intervention, I was able to witness one of my all time favorites deliver a collection that will make Naeem Khan a global name in fashion. A collection inspired by India but with the color palette of blacks, nudes and metallics, each piece looked intricately put together, and as it came down the runway it continued to stunned audiences. The collection was a deliberate departure for Khan, who wanted to showcase his talents off the red carpet. But as he jet sets to LA after his show, no doubt the stylists will be clamoring to get their hands on these. You can read more of my review here.
