India's June covers are rolling in early beginning with Vogue. But we also have the inside shots as well. The theme for this issue is healthy living and I'm convinced no photographer can go wrong with Deepika. She looks stunning on the cover in an Agent Provocateur swimsuit. Therefore I was expecting more swimsuits inside but it's a very dark, urban-esque shoot. Never-the-less, I think it's another great job by Vogue India team.

Sonam Hits Cannes 2012
Sonam didn't stick to one designer but went all over from Gucci to Marni, rocking a variety of looks. I wish she would have focused on one or two looks and nailed those. My fav has to be the McQueen red carpet look. Love the red nails.

Chanel Bombay Express Pre-Fall Ads
Ohhhhh so exciting! I opened up my Vogue this morning and this was on the first page. Love the black and white- it's classic Chanel. This is the Bombay Pre-fall 2012 collection that we haven't stopped gushing about. My only wish would have been to see an Indian model in at least one of the ads. That would have made me reach my asthma spray lol. Can't wait to head to the store and see it in person!

Aish Put Curves On Display
What's not to love about Aish? She is the classiest woman in Bollywood and I've just love how she's carried herself throughout the media circus around her weight. In her first red carpet appearance in Cannes she killed it with an Elie Saab gown. The look worked but more importantly, I've never seen her look so comfortable in her own skin. LOVE the matching nails.
My favorite was Aish in 2010 with the Armani Prive & Gucci looks. A curvy Aish was also on display and her choices were perfect for her figure:
I love this video on Aish talking about her weight. A definite inspiration and great role model for girls.

Australia's Nod To Indian Beauty
Hot on the heels of Freida's cover for Australian Sunday magazine (above) comes
Shanina Shaik's cover for Sunday Life. Shanina is an Aussie (hooray!)
and growing up in Australia, I would have done anything to see Indian
girls grace the cover of magazines. Progress is being made!

Cannes 2012 Just Started But Aish Has Already Got Them Talking
Cannes is one of the few film festivals that has had Indian representation for quite a while thanks to L'Oreal. This year it's even more exciting with Freida and Sonam attending, and Aish debuting her post-baby body. While I don't know if we'll get a Beyonce-at-the-Met type of appearance from Aish, I'm still excited to see her walk the red carpet. Her body has been a controversial topic for the conservative India, which is still struggling- go figure- with the fact their most beautiful asset now has a post-baby ass. Get over it. Let's just pray she chooses her outfit well. We all know Aish doesn't make the best choices in gowns.
Our belle Freida decided to wear a Michael Angel gown with slit and peplum lift. I'm starting to believe she could wear anything and still look like perfection but the truth is, this is a carefully chosen dress. The color and styling compliment her young, fresh image. The emeralds are a nice touch and every strand of hair is in place. I adore. We'll be updating this post as the other ladies hit the red carpet.
