Fall 2013 - NYFW

New York Fashion Week favors Indian/Brown designers and this year was no different with the usual suspects. Here are my picks:

Bibhu Mohapatra Fall 2013

Naeem Khan Fall 2013

Prabal Gurung

Sachin & Babi Fall 2013

The Indian Spring Summer 2013 continues..

Manish Arora

After Marchesa, Vera Wang, DVF and a host of others debuted collections inspired by India at NYFW, the trend didn't slow down much in Europe. While India has always offered embellishments and embroidery for the top fashion houses, the style and cuts (and the kurta look) used for SS13 proves that Indian fashion has much more to offer.  Pucci's Matthew Williamson, who has successfully sourced inspiration from India before, went the extra mile with his mirror-details and color palette. Etro's menswear showcased the Indian men's fashion, which - quite frankly - we have seen before. Finally, our very own Manish Arora hit the ball out of the park with his SS13.....WOAH. With a more subdued collection and color palette, he delivered a superb show inspired by his home country (so naturally he had to nail it). Check it out.

BBA Editorial: Vogue India Sept 2012

Two great editorials from last month's Vogue. WOW Brown.Girls.Rock. Inspiration overdose... Enjoy!

BBA Newstands: October 2012

So the October covers are here and you just can't compete with Lakshmi Menon for Grazia... stunning! Vogue is celebrating their 5th Anniversary but why they chose ALL Bollywood stars and no models is a HUGE disappointment. I guess they wanted sales over iconic images (*sigh*).  Marie Claire went for something different but not sure I understand the concept. Check them out, comment, and we'll update this post with GQ when it arrives. UPDATED: Harper's Bazaar, Verve and all the Vogue covers.
